The majority of our BCHA homes have central heating. Here are some useful tips which will help you to ensure your system runs efficiently
If you have a problem with your heating check you haven’t run out of gas! If you have, follow these steps: 1. Top up your card 2. Put the card in the meter – the boiler should re-light! 3. If it doesn’t Check to see if you have a gas supply at your fire or cooker! 4. If you do not have any gas Remove your card from the meter and put it in again 5. Re-check for a gas supply at your fire and cooker 6. If you still have no gas contact your supplier 7. If you haven’t run out of gas but your boiler still does not light Check your room thermostat and make sure it is set at a high enough temperature! (For instance the boiler won’t light if the room thermostat is set at only 15, but the room temperature is already above this!) If your central heating boiler still does not light contact BCHA on 01922 648252 Decorating…. If you intend to decorate: - Do not remove any radiators. Please contact BCHA for advice.
- Removing and re-fitting radiators yourself could result in your system being damaged and you will be re-charged for any damage caused
